I bought a cute little Windows 7 startup netbook over the holidays. I only really need it for surfing the web and iTunes and that sort of thing. In all honesty, whilst shopping around I would have much preferred to buy a Mac, now that I use one for work. However, the netbook suited my budget.
Now that I have it, the most irritating thing that Windows could possibly do is to prevent me from personalising my desktop. What’s that about? One of the first things most people - well I - do is change the background so its more ‘me’! I have Googled the problem and I know there is a work around but why should anyone have to do that… Windows. Grrr!!!
Just in case you're interested...I'd have this piece of cuteness as my desktop background:
If this image is stored in your Documents/Images folder you have the ability to right click that photo and select to "Set as Desktop Image" ... also if you right click your desktop and choose "Personalize" you are prompted with edits to the background and you are able to set an entire folder of image to rotate as your desktop image. Other than that I am not sure what issues you might be having other wise.

Hey Matt,
Thanks for that, I will have another look but I definitely can't do it through the Personalize option.
From my understanding it's a limitation of the Windows 7 Start up OS. I'll try your suggestion of right clicking and Set as Desktop Image, but I think that option is disabled too.
